MHP to develop new corporate communications strategy for cryptocurrency firm Coinbase

MHP has been appointed by cryptocurrency firm Coinbase, who were recently ranked by Forbes as the third most valuable US fintech, as its UK corporate and financial communications advisor

Coinbase is the market leading cryptocurrency exchange globally and is a pioneer in the creation of a more open financial system. It was founded by CEO Brian Armstrong in 2012 and has over 35 million users globally.

Our Capital Markets and Financial Services practices will be working with Coinbase to create a new corporate communications strategy for the UK market – growing understanding of their brand and educating retail and institutional investor audiences on cryptocurrency as an asset class. The firm joins our portfolio of fintech clients, which includes Klarna, Youtility and Airbus-owned Skytra.

Elliott Suthers, Communications Director at Coinbase, said:

“The appointment reflects a new approach to the UK, one that will focus on educating a broad spectrum of audiences from retail investors to institutional investors and regulators. We chose MHP as a result of their integrated and thoughtful approach to the pitch, as well as their understanding of our business narrative and the reputation of cryptocurrency in the UK market. We look forward to working with them in the coming months.”

Nick Woods, MHP’s Head of Financial Services, said:

“We are delighted to have been appointed to work with Coinbase, the biggest cryptocurrency platform in the world. Coinbase is an industry pioneer and we are looking forward to working with them to grow the category in the UK.”
