Kate Pogson wins Communique Award
Kate Pogson, who heads MHP’s health communications team, has been named as the country’s pre-eminent health communications leader in the prestigious annual Communique Awards.
Kate was commended by the judges for her ‘visionary’ leadership and her brilliant story-telling ability.
The Communique Awards, which have been running for more than 20 years, are chosen by a panel of 100 judges representing a range of healthcare communications expertise from the UK and overseas. They are intended to recognise people and teams whose work has made an impact to patients, business and healthcare professionals.
Kate worked in healthcare PR for 10 years before joining MHP and changing her focus to the healthcare policy field. She is admired and valued by her colleagues and clients for her passion, enthusiasm, intelligence and good humour. She has quickly adapted to the role of team leader, effectively combining management, client responsibilities and winning new business.
Kate said: “I am beyond delighted to have been named this year’s Communique Healthcare Leader. If I am any good at what I do, it is because of the talent of the team around me. This is an award for all of us and I am just so excited to see what comes next.”
Alex Bigg, CEO Of MHP Communications, said: “Kate is a truly exceptional leader in a very competitive field. We are proud to have her as a colleague and delighted that she has won this award which is a great reflection of her abilities and achievements.”
