2017 has been a tumultuous year for the Conservatives, ranging from the triggering of Article 50 to a shock General Election result.
All eyes will be on this year’s Conference as delegates gather in Manchester to debate where the Party goes from here. As in previous years, we will be hosting the MHP Lounge during Conservative Party Conference, where we will be screening key speeches and providing you with a space to relax between fringe events, catch-up over a drink or host meetings with contacts.
Since the General Election in June, there has been plenty of speculation that Theresa May’s tenure at Number Ten may be short-lived. Many Tory MPs lost their seats and her authority within the Party was badly damaged.
Most commentators took the view that there would be no challenge to her leadership at least until the party conference. Over the summer various names of potential challengers have been mooted – none with much credibility.
The MHP Lounge gives clients, contacts and colleagues a great space within the Conference zone to monitor events, share news and assess the implications of the Tory party positioning on some of the critical issues facing the UK.
MHP Drinks Reception:
We look forward to welcoming delegates to the MHP Communications Party Conference drinks reception on Sunday October 1st from 7.30pm.
This popular mainstay of the party conference season brings together a variety of delegates, journalists and business people for one of the liveliest gatherings at Conference.
For an invitation please email email@example.com to get your name on the guest list.
The MHP Lounge is located in the Royce Suite of the Midland Hotel, in Manchester. It is located inside the secure zone, so a conference pass is required, and will be open throughout Conference. We look forward to seeing you there.
