Senior Account Executive - Financial FPR / PLC

What is the role?

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our award winning financial team to work on an exciting portfolio of financial services clients. The role will assist in the delivery of client programmes, provide support to account teams and display enthusiasm in all aspects of the role. The role will suit someone who enjoys working in a forward thinking fast paced environment.

You will have gained some work experience within financial services PR, this could be through work experience or internships.

You’ll have excellent writing skills in terms of press releases, brief proposals and other written materials including activity reports and be highly organised, time efficient and confident assisting with the delivering of client programmes / actions.

You will have experience of selling ideas into the media and demonstrate a basic understanding of relevant sell-side analysts and broking houses.

Gained experience of participating in the delivery of campaigns for clients and some experience of working on new business in terms primarily of the preparation of background research – this is an advantage, however, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on new business projects and pitches.

What are the main responsibilities?

  • Demonstrate an understanding and awareness of key media titles whilst actively selling into various media and build relationships with journalists
  • Assist in the delivery of agreed client programmes / actions with responsibility for providing timely and clear reporting on progress
  • Awareness of social media trends and advocates and play an active part in creating and implementing traditional and social media campaigns
  • New business research, content development and networking for leads. Understand MHPs full offering
  • Demonstrate a growing understanding of regulatory environment and how it effects clients
  • Actively deepen knowledge of clients business, issues and media to support the team in the delivery of overall business objectives
